A reputable Financial institution based in Tema invites applications from suitable and qualified Ghanaians to fill the following vacant position: Audit Officer
Role Purpose
To provide direct support for the Audit Manager in undertaking risk based auditing to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, accounting, internal control and governance processes
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists the Auditor Manager in the implementation of a strong system of internal controls and procedures to ensure that major risks are identified and analysed
- Assist the Audit Manager to check and verify the accuracy and integrity of accounting ledgers
- Assist Audit Manager to ensure audit compliance to regulatory standards and best practices
- Assists in the analysis and evaluation of the accuracy of accounting systems and procedures
- Work with the Audit Manager in preparing audit working papers in accordance with standards and requirements
- Assist Audit manager in the performance of routine audit in all activities of the institution and generate audit report with recommendations

Qualification Required & Experience
- BSc in Accounting or BSc, Finance or professional qualification (ICAG, ACCA, CIMA, BA, CIA) Part 2 with a minimum of 3 years of working experience in a similar working environment
Skills and Experience Required
- Excellent knowledge in accounting and auditing principles
- Good knowledge in company law and taxation
- Proficiency with computer programmes, such as Word, excel and PowerPoint
- Demonstrate exceptional loyalty and commitment
