Abosso Goldfields Limited is seeking to engage the services of an experienced Metallurgist – Business Improvement Analyst & Plant Optimization. Reporting to the Unit Manager – Metallurgy, the incumbent will ensure
sustainable business improvement and cost saving of the department through the development and implementation of effective and efficient business improvement projects, methodologies, and associated techniques, in line with the company’s short-term business and operational objectives
About The Role
- Provide effective analytical and implementation support for the Metallurgy &
- Business Improvement functions.
- Conduct data analysis for value ideas generated within the Metallurgy & Business Improvement functions.
- Provide Idea Owners with the requisite assistance and analytic support in implementation of Business Improvement projects.
- Support the implementation of value-adding Business Improvement projects, ideas, and strategies in the department.
- Provide fact-base to help Business Improvement team identify priorities, solve root-causes, and identify significant cost saving ideas.
- Ensure congenial relationship with Business Improvement stakeholders is established and maintained.
- Identify conformance / deviation in improved and existing processes and suggest improvements.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in metallurgical/Chemical Engineering, Business Improvement, Business Process Re-engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years working experience in Business Improvement function in a mining environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with Advanced Excel Skills.
- In-depth understanding of metallurgy business and operational processes, analytical, decision making & technical, sound financial and statistical knowledge.
- Exceptional leadership capability and demonstrated ability to coach and develop others.
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated and ability to work for long hours to obtain the required result.
- Be self-reliant, self-driven and results oriented.
