Context/Scope:

To support Sales activities by collating, maintaining and analyzing a comprehensive set of information tools, reports and records as well as develop & maintain the databases, schedules and reports to underpin decisions on Sales activity and prioritization

Key AccountabilitiesSales Data Management

  • Ensure availability of accurate Sales reports and submitted timeously for effective business decision making
  • Volume target computation
  • Ensure communication of sales targets and achievements to key collaborators – KDs, Sales staff, etc
  • Implement and resolve all Sales Incentive Plan issues to ensure achievement of sales targets
  • Effective management of all sales tools of trade and with mitigation plan
  • Ensure strict adherence of price Compliance

Trade Insights

  • Manage specific/assigned research projects within country with accountability for methodology, agency management and delivery of insights.

Variable Compensation

  • Manage the Compensation scorecard and assist with the compensation process
  • Develop appropriate methodologies for Sales – Out efficiency

Information Systems

  • Manage retail measurement systems (Sales Automation database) to supervise the efficiency of the route-to-consumer strategies as well as supervising retail customer happiness on a regular basis and reporting.
  • Consolidating competitor activity from the Divisions with a view to providing early warning of potential competitor moves and likely responses to marketing initiatives implemented

Qualifications And Experience Required

  • University degree in economics, finance, accounting, or business administration
  • Minimum 4 years of meaningful professional experience in a market research agency and/or working in an FMCG organization
  • Proficient in English
  • Excellent financial system and Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access)
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Strong collaborator engagement skills
  • Commercial/business insight
  • Proven ability as a strong teammate working across multiple geographies and cultures

Barriers to Success in Role

  • Inability to calculate sales trends, targets moving annual numbers, market share and growth, means, %variances, weighted averages… correlations, etc… Analytical ability is pivotal
  • Insufficient solid understanding of Microsoft Office software and inability to develop spreadsheets and presentations
  • Insufficient understanding of distribution channel economics (Pricing, profits, margins, fixed /variable costs),
  • Inability to work across cultures/geographies
  • Lack of ability to deliver through others
  • Inability to effectively work with others in a team
  • Lack of confidence/proactive approach in working across a large team

Flexible Working options

  • Can be based anywhere in Ghana as per company requirements.
