We are seeking a talented and passionate Social Media Manager to join our nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children. As a Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our social media strategy, creating engaging content, and managing our online presence.

Your efforts will play a crucial role in raising awareness, promoting our initiatives, and driving community engagement. The ideal candidate is a hardworking team player who will play a critical role in creating original digital content across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities:

1. Social Media Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with our organization's mission and goals.
  • Identify target audience segments and create tailored content strategies for each platform.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices to drive engagement and reach.

2. Content Creation and Management:

  • Create compelling, high-quality content (text, images, videos) for various social media platforms.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and program managers to gather content and ensure accurate messaging.
  • Manage the content calendar to maintain a consistent and engaging posting schedule.

3. Community Engagement:

  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media channels promptly.
  • Foster a positive and supportive online community by initiating and participating in conversations.
  • Proactively engage with influencers, partner organizations, and relevant stakeholders to expand our reach.

4. Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze social media metrics, including reach, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize content, posting times, and strategies for maximum impact.
  • Generate regular reports showcasing social media performance and trends to stakeholders.

5. Brand Management:

  • Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all social media channels.
  • Maintain a cohesive and authentic brand voice in all social media communications.
  • Uphold our organization's values and guidelines while interacting with the online community.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or child-centric organization.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing social media strategies.
  • Proficiency in social media management platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, trends, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Ability to create compelling visual content using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with social media advertising and boosting posts for targeted campaigns is a plus.
  • Passion for children's causes and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in their lives.
