Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of the Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity (GFRA) is to prevent the collapse of the small pelagic fishery sector in Ghana while improving supplemental livelihoods, resilience, and food security. This activity seeks to improve supplemental livelihoods and resilience measures for fishing communities, particularly for women and youth; facilitate private sector engagement and market linkages in the fishing sector; strengthen government capacity in policymaking, regulation, and enforcement; strengthen improved science and research, including data for policy and management decisions; and empower key stakeholders to effect change.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Conduct minor miscellaneous repair and maintenance on office equipment for which he/she has received training and certification.
- Deliver documents to different offices.
- Provide driving services to staff and consultants in Accra and on field trips.
- Operate assigned vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.
- Keep the assigned vehicle(s) clean inside and outside.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records on Log sheet, vehicle maintenance, fuel card purchases, incident reports, accident reports, vehicle condition reports and other records that are requested from supervisor.
- Coordinate the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with the supervisor.
- Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Personal use of vehicles is prohibited. Vehicles should be used only for official purposes. The schedule of driving services in Ghana will be directed, managed, and supervised by the Administration and Logistics Assistant On travel to GFRA field sites, the Driver will be directed, managed, and supervised by the staff member or engaged consultant in charge of the field travel.
The Driver will assist this staff/consultant in facilitating logistics to make the travel successful, including arrangements for workshops and training such as lodging, meeting halls, slide shows, printing, photocopying, internet etc., and ensuring timely provision of refreshments and lunch.
In addition, the Driver shall carry out other duties and tasks reasonably assigned by the staff/consultant in charge of the field travel. The Driver should at any time be on call and near to where the staff/consultant in charge of the field travel is and ensure that the vehicle is strictly used for official purposes as per the direction of this staff/Consultant.

- Good driving skills and adherence to safety precautions while driving.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly responsible & reliable.
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school diploma, BECE, or equivalent
- 2 years of work experience
- License B holder
LANGUAGES: Basic level in English.
