Our non-profit organization is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Project Officer to support the implementation of our projects. The successful candidate will report to the Project Coordinator and will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the project, ensuring that project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure that project goals are achieved.
  • Develop and implement project monitoring and evaluation plans to measure project outcomes and impact.
  • Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including partner organizations, beneficiaries, and government agencies.
  • Supervise field agents recruited by the project, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Prepare project reports, including progress reports and final reports.
  • Provide translation services (Twi/Hausa) when needed during project activities.
  • Drive project vehicles as needed to support project activities.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as project management, social science, or international development.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project management, including experience in monitoring and evaluation.
  • Fluent in Twi/Hausa and English, both written and verbal.
  • Must have a valid motor driver's license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of our organization.
