We are currently seeking a Passionate, results-oriented Professional to fill the position of a Demi Chef De Partie. We have an exciting team ready to demonstrate their skills and support you to get the work done to achieve hotel and organisational objectives. Just be genuine, human, warm and take steps to do the ordinary in an extraordinary way.
What you will be doing:
- Supervision of kitchen in the absence of the senior chef. Delegate duties and responsibilities to kitchen employees to ensure service demands are met.
- Lead team members by setting a positive example.
- Assist Executive Chef with menu preparation and ensuring adequate supplies are available for expected service.
- Liaise with Restaurant team members regarding the availability of menu items, additions to the menu and any relevant changes.
- Maintain excellent presentation standards and cost control for all food and beverage outlets.
- Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
- Works with and coordinates the work of apprentices in the preparation and production of food as required.
- Prepares and ensures availability of mis en place as required.
- Keep all working areas clean and tidy.
- Ensure all equipment are maintained, serviced and cleaned.
- Report any problems to the Executive Chef / Sous Chef.

Qualifications
Your Skills and Experience include:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Kitchen operations in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment.
- must have good knowledge of local and international dishes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills
- A friendly and positive can-do attitude
- Excellent grooming and presentation standards
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks in the absence of Chef De Partie and advise kitchen team to do same.
