Job Description
Hollard Life Assurance Ltd is looking for IT Officer
- Job Location: Accra
- Report to: Application Support Manager
Job Objective
To provide a proactive service to all users by maintaining, updating, and supporting the organizations’ computer systems and networks, diagnosing diverse and unrelated faults within systems, and providing solutions. The incumbent will also ensure that IT support calls are logged on the Helpdesk system and actioned within agreed parameters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide support for the IT Help Desk for all IT Infrastructure issues.
- Run Backups for applications, including servers, email, and files.
- Maintain voice and video communications.
- Maintain an inventory of all the IT assets of the company.
- Support the maintenance of the LAN/WAN, firewalls, routers, and switches to maximize network efficiency and security.
- Support web services and web applications maintained by the business.
- Maintain and ensure LAN and wireless are always up and running.
- Minimize IT outages by updating, upgrading, and carrying out other maintenance tasks in both hardware and software of IT Infrastructure
- Liaise with stakeholders to identify problems, devise solutions, and seek approval to implement the solution or fix.
- Ensure full compliance with all processes, policies, and procedures and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain a high level of service to customers according to service level agreements and within the service standards as set by the company.
- Adhere to a maintenance regime and high-quality standards within the IT environment.
- Report network status to IT Applications Manager/In-charge of IT at Hollard Life

Required Skills or Experience
- Degree of Higher National Diploma
- An applicable Certificate/Diploma in IT will be an advantage.
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Working knowledge in Microsoft OS, Microsoft Office 365, and Microsoft Power Platform automation, configuration, and administration.
- Knowledge of Networking and perimeter security (Wireless networking, LAN/WAN, Fortinet Firewalls) administration and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and general programming concepts.
- Knowledge of MS Active Directory and administration
- Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
