Job Description
The procurement officer's responsibilities include
- overseeing the upkeep and updating of an accurate database of consultants, service providers, and suppliers,
- creating procurement plans for goods, works, and services for the College,
- assisting in the implementation of systems and procedures to ensure value for money in entity procurement activities, and assisting in the process of advertising tenders.
- The Procurement Officer shall perform his/her duties in accordance with the relevant laws and the Statutes of the College.

Required Skills or Experience
- Applicants must hold a minimum of Masters’ Degree in Procurement Management or related areas. A Professional Qualification in Procurement or related area is required.
- Applicants must have served as a Senior Assistant Procurement Officer in a College of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution/organization for at least four (5) years.
- Applicants must be computer literate and must be abreast with relevant software applications.
- Staff in this grade shall be required to show high qualities of sound judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, precision and professionalism in their area of specialization.
