Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
We are currently seeking an intern with deep interest & entry-level experience in user experience and user interface.
This intern will provide support in the execution of the design of products that are engaging, easy-to-use, powerful, viral, and inspire our customers to grow their businesses. He/ She will gain exciting real-world product design experience at Oze with the opportunity to become a full-time employee at the end of the internship.
We frequently work in small teams to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another.
The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic about learning & collaboration.

What You Will Do:
- Help define and design new user interface (UI) components.
- Participate in the user research phase to understand the project’s strategic goals, user needs and technical constraints.
- Collaborate with internal team members to brainstorm solutions or ways of approaching the design challenge.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers by producing artefacts that synthesize findings from the discovery phase.
- Build out sketches, wireframes, and prototypes into full designs.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to move designs through the design, testing, and implementation phases.
- Translate UI between platforms (i.e. adapt an iOS design for Android).
- Execute usability testing and visual quality assurance.
- Produce clickable prototypes that help evaluate the overall flow and experience of the product.
- Prepare design artefacts for user testing and participate in the sessions by capturing feedback from at least 5 users per new feature.
- Manage the library of designs in Zeplin.
- Export final designs to Zeplin and archive designs that are no longer relevant.
- Annotate design deliverables to ensure the design intent is clearly communicated to the development team and that there is a sufficient level of detail provided to support the implementation process.
- Be a team player.
- Participate in all-hands meetings/company stand-ups and 360 feedback sessions.
- Continuously learn by participating in relevant webinars or by reading relevant books per year and share what you learned with the team at monthly lunch & learns and/or through a blog post.
- Work with product & engineering teams to develop and implement product improvements.
What You Need to be Considered:
- Experience working with style guides and user experience (UX) libraries, common patterns, & current UX practices.
- Strong communication skills, excellent time management & organizational skills.
- Comfortable with the iterative design process.
- Detail-oriented yet able to see the big picture.
- Comfortable learning quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Figma added proficiency in Adobe XD & Illustrator is a plus.
- Have at least a BSc. from a reputable university.
