Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
Miro Forestry Ghana Limited is a sustainable forestry plantation developer and manufacturer of timber products. The company has its offices located at Drobonso, sekyere Afram Plains District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, with plantations near Agogo and Mampong.
We are currently seeking a Human Resource Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in compiling monthly department report
- Effective monitoring of the Clocking system at all locations
- Support in completion of job application materials and documentation and preparation of employment interviews and tests
- Welcome new employees to the organisation by ensuring the necessary procedures are performed and conducting orientation (Medicals and induction)
- Ensure the administration staff welfare, medicals, benefits, programmes and events
- Maintain employee information by entering and updating employment and status-change data
- Maintain and develop the filing system of personnel
- Assist in liaising between a labour union and management
- Continuously update disciplinary records
- Keep all leave and sick records of all employees up-to-date
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process by informing selected candidates of their interview dates and time, preparing CV summaries for various roles, preparing the interview pack for the panellists and ensuring that the interview room is ready
- Administer staff correspondence including termination, resignation, etc
- Arrange payout to the beneficiaries/dependents of deceased employees
- Monthly update of staff list
- Perform any other activities assigned by the Human Resource Manager

Qualification Required & Experience
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management
Experience
- At least 3 years of personnel and industrial relations experience, including 2 years of administrative experience
Personal qualities and competencies
- Ability to interpret the labour Act 651 of 2003
- Maintain confidentiality at work
- Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Establish and maintain effective work relations with all stakeholders
- Understanding of occupational health, safety and environmental issues
