The Finance Operations Analyst at Baker Hughes is to be responsible for driving technical accounting compliance, financial and operational internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence.
As Finance Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing internal controls over financial reporting, including accounting policy implementations, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and distributed controllership.
- Covering process simplification and internal controls over IPP monitoring and risk.
- Serving as controllership experts on financial system and Enterprise Reporting Package (ERP) implementations
- Handling communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
- Detecting and signals flaws in approaches, methods, procedures and processes and suggests improvements.
- Buy to Pay (B2P)-Weekly review and confirmation of Payment Proposals for Ghana and Senegal.
- Handling treasury -Issue cheques or Bank Letters for country-specific transactions. Cash repatriation to the cash pool
- Handling Senegal Cross border payments. Trade and Intercompany Payments in compliance with Stringent Foreign Exchange regulation.

- Managing Pension remittance and filing with regulators monthly.
- Supporting Kuala Lumpur team in filing all Statutory Taxes for both Baker Hughes Ghana Limited and Baker Hughes Joint Venture.
- Handling Local Content Reporting – Complete and fill Local Spend Reports to the Petroleum Commission monthly
- Processing of quarterly corporate Tax Clearance Certificates (TCC) and monthly vendor WHT Certificates, VAT Credit Certificates (VCC) issued by Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and distribute to Vendors
- Receive Customer Tax Clearance Certificates, VAT Requisition Purchase Order (VRPO), prepare Transmittals and share with Accounts Receivable Cash Collection (ARCC) team and Indirect Taxes team for clearing on SAP.
- Handling document retention for Ghana.
- Supporting periodic Annual Physical Inventory (API) counts and Annual Statutory Inventory Count at the Takoradi facility
- Any other adhoc task as may be required from time to time to meet business needs.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
- Have B.Sc from an accredited university or college in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Have experience in a Finance role
- Have at least 4 year’s experience in Finance
- Have a professional certification (an advantage)
- Possess good analytical skills with a proactive mindset, with the ability to bring expert advice and problem-solving skills to the team.
- Must be result-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with financial statements would be ideal
- Have computers skills (use of SAP / Oracle would be advantageous)
