MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the implementation of food safety and quality management initiatives within the Ghana CO and supported regional initiatives.
- Establish and implement protocols and tools relating to food technology issues, such as food safety and quality and food product optimization, ensuring alignment with WFP procurement and supply chain strategy, policies and plans.
- Review and provide advice on the procedures for mitigating and documenting food quality and safety issues.

- Provide technical guidance and input to the Ghana country office in the design and implementation of medium-scale and/or relatively straightforward food assistance programmes, ensuring compliance with WFP food and safety regulations.

Nutritionist
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitate the establishment of the SUN Business Network and work with the private sector to reinforce the promotion of healthy diets as part of the overall nutrition strategy
- Closely work with the Supply Chain unit to identify and implement market development strategies to address bottlenecks in the nutritious food supply chain including for voucher programmes.
- Support the creation of consumer-driven demand for healthy diets including fortified foods.

- Support the nutrition integration programming by ensuring effective linkages with the social protection and food systems pillars.
- Provide project management support to specific and defined nutrition projects and activities as may be required, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programmes that complies with WFP standards and procedures.

IT Assistant
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Carry out system maintenance tasks, such as performing monitoring tasks, running system diagnostics, and system optimization, to ensure they are running effectively and enable easy and efficient use
- Maintain technology, including standard repairs, configuration, and storage, in accordance with data security and access controls to ensure IT equipment required for staff is available.

- Prepare files and systems for inventory and archives, such as website content and directories, to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
- Allocate tasks to other colleagues, ensuring that tasks are delivered to agreed standards and deadlines, to support the effective delivery of IT services.
- Respond to a variety of queries about technology and IT systems to assist staff to deliver their services.
- With support of senior colleagues, provide standard IT training to end-users of technology and systems to ensure staff use standard technology and systems effectively.
