Clean Team Ghana (CTG) is a social enterprise dedicated to bringing vital in-home sanitation services to low income residents of Kumasi. We offer improved sanitation, convenience and dignity, whilst offering cost savings to this underserved sector.

CTG currently employs 50+ Ghanaians to deliver its services to almost 15,000 Kumasi residents. We are looking to increase that by a factor of 10 over the next 3+ years. Every home we service is a household where open defecation or use of public toilets cease and dignity, convenience, personal hygiene and health can improve.

Job Description

Responsibilities and Tasks of Transport Officer

The successful candidate will be responsible for the duties below:

  • Supervise all transport activities in Clean Team Ghana Limited
  • Responsible for the repair and maintenance of all company vehicles

  • Ensure implementation of day-to-day activities of transportation.
  • Monitor and ensure proper utilization of the transportation budget, in accordance with organizational objectives as dictated by management.
  • In collaboration with relevant supervisors, agree on the best use of CTG vehicles to complete assigned tasks.
  • Maintain and manage all databases relating to transportation activities.
  • Supervise drivers’ performance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Responsible for managing fuel consumption of all vehicles.
  • Ensure all drivers are certified to use CTG vehicles.
  • Periodically train all staff (vehicle users) on CTG transportation policies and procedures
  • Stay abreast with and share information about road laws and/or technological advances.
  • Initiate cost efficiency measures in transportation operations.
  • Establish working relations with all relevant authorities; DVLA, insurance companies, spare parts suppliers etc.
  • Facilitate the training and certification of staff before using any CTG vehicle.

The successful candidate will report to the Operations Manager. S/he will double as the deputy to the operations manager.

Required Skills or Experience

Minimum Requirements

  • University Degree in a Business related discipline or any other related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
