An exciting job offer exists in Voltic Ghana Limited for a Control & Automations Specialist. Voltic (GH) Limited, has been known for manufacturing the leading premium water brand in Ghana for over two decades. Currently, Voltic (GH) Limited has expanded its portfolio to cover Value-Added Dairy.
This role reports to the Manufacturing Manager in the Manufacturing Function. The job incumbent will be responsible to Perform work on system maintenance and process improvement projects while being ready to respond to problems on the production line.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs work on system maintenance and process improvement projects while being ready to respond to problems on the production lines.
- Supports new equipment designs and installations.
- Supports the maintenance planners and Controllers in developing equipment maintenance schedules and checks
- Supports the entire Plant equipment. This includes the Syrup lines, blowing and filling, conveyors, labeler, shrink wrapper, CIP stations etc.
- Understands the impact of control systems on quality. Always perform work so as to safeguard product quality.
- Supports to set up and implement preventive maintenance procedures for automation systems.
- Maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
- Work closely with Maintenance Technicians and Production Teams. Provide guidance and training in areas of automation and controls including associated hazards.
- Perform related duties as assigned to improve the overall equipment performance.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot PLC systems. Allen Bradley/ Siemens Control Logix, some PLC5 and SLC500. Some Siemens S7. Some B&R Automation, Simotion, Beck Hoff, etc.
- Program, and troubleshoot HMI systems.
- Configure, program, and troubleshoot SCADA systems.
- Actively participate as a self-directed and committed member of a team and work with other team members to achieve the department and plant goals and objectives.
- Understand how to select controls and electrical components, specify correct ordering information, and help procure components.

- Understanding of The Manufacturing Way / WCM / Lean practices and principles.
- Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- A good understanding of the Change Management process and OD principles.
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Good organisational abilities.
- A self-starter with high energy level.
- Continuous Improvement mindset
- Ability to identify gaps and initiate improvement activities.
- Understanding of SHE policies and procedures
- Financial interpretation
- Project Management
Skills and Attributes:
- Proven Leadership skills and management capability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - clear capability and credibility to influence at all levels.
- Highly developed analytical skills with excellent problem-solving capability
