Job Description

Our client "Nolle Design’ is an Interior Design and Remodeling firm located in Accra - Ghana. We uniquely offer a 360° fully integrated interior design service including Project Management, Furniture supply, and sourcing interior materials for our clients' end-to-end solutions (https://www.nolledesign.com/).

To support its operations in Ghana, the company seeks to hire a ‘Driver/safety Officer’.  Reporting to the Business Services Officer, the successful candidate shall inter-alia perform the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance of official vehicles, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition including maintenance
  • Deliver and/or post all out-going official mail, ensuring they are registered and duly signed
  • Drive staff to places of appointments and meetings during working hours
  • Ensure that vehicle request form is duly completed by requesting staff member and submit the same to the appropriate officer
  • Responsible for accounting for each trip, preparing and training all drivers on record-keeping and attendant paperwork, vehicle Log-book to ensure vehicle usage activities in compliance with Noelle’s policies, rules and regulations.
  • Ensure there is no abuse regarding the use of official vehicles for private purposes
  • Report and advise on any risks and/or incidents that may impact the company and its employees in Ghana relating to travel, safety and security.

  • Provide the necessary training on safety and traffic regulations to other company drivers
  • Report any problems identified in the use of vehicle(s) and also ensure that all licenses and documents relating to the vehicle are renewed on time and as required.
  • Supervise other company drivers and ensure reporting on use of vehicle
  • Supports program/project implementation through the implementation of safety approaches, procedures and protocols delineated by Nolle regarding travel, safety and security.
  • Perform any other duties as required

Required Skills or Experience

  • Hold a minimum of a senior secondary school certificate with at least 5years corporate driving experience. Experience in driving for an International Organization or NGO would be an added advantage.
  • Possess a clean and valid Driving License is a condition for employment.
  • Have the ability to make good judgment on staff safety and provide appropriate advice.
  • Demonstrate ability to work effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Be familiar with travel and security issues in Ghana. Ability to support security and operational activities will be an added advantage
  • Good oral and written English fluency is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills, polite and tactful
