Genser Energy is an energy solutions provider based in the USA with operations in West Africa. It specializes in providing custom engineered turn-key distributed generation installations and natural gas distribution infrastructure, selling power and natural gas to mines, industries, and utilities.
Genser Energy engages in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) as well as operation and maintenance (O&M) of its power generation plants. Each project is financed and owned by a country-level subsidiary in Africa.
Human Resource (HR) Superintendent Responsibilities
Responsible for oversees of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties and assignments as may be appropriate.

- Provide support across both human resources management and learning and development functions.
- Ensures timely and accurate delivery of HR reporting suite for end of month/week, absence management, and other ad-hoc requests
- Provide timely and informed Human Resources advice to management and internal stakeholders
- Provides critical data processing and administrative support on payroll
- Analyze and present recommendations based on monthly HR and site reporting.
- Follow up to deliverables within project schedules
- Provides support in writing directives for Dept. Managers on all HR policies and employee benefit and ensuring compliance of all employees to all HR policies
- Support the HR Manager to ensure employee development and an organizational culture that emphasizes quality and high performance
- Participate in the recruitment processes and assist with the development of compensation plans and benefit programs along with Financial Management Policies and Procedures.
- Ensure the correct execution of the onboarding and offboarding processes
- Perform additional tasks as may be required from time to time such as inputs to board reports, budgeting, employee communication, expense requisition, etc.
- Keeps records of employees benefit plans and participation, i.e. insurance and pension plans, along with personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations.

Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Communications, Business or Psychology; MBA preferred.
- Fluency in English compulsory; Proficiency in French or Spanish a plus.
- 5-7 years experience in general HR, Administration or Organizational Development.
- 2-4 years in previous Superintendent - Supervisory or related role.
Competencies
- Proficient in strategic organizational skills with expertise in HR policy and procedural development.
- Fundamental knowledge of employee benefits and compensation programs, and Country Labor Laws.
- Have strong analytical skills with ability to work in a self-directed fashion within a team structure.
- Possess solid work ethic and professional maturity.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to think ahead, plan and achieve key performance goals in a timely manner.
- Competence in multi-tasking & managing several priorities; ability to lead and be result oriented.
