Our client provides medical services & equipment to various public hospitals and private health facilities in Ghana.
Scope
The Biomedical Engineer will primarily install, configure, modify, and repair products, medical equipment and systems that have been purchased by customers and identify and correct more complex problems associated with start-up.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-sales and/or post-sales technical support to customers including commissioning, installing, testing, and maintaining products, equipment, and systems.

- Develop innovative solutions to more complex technical problems that arise during start-up.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs.
- Monitor and resolve recurring more complex problems to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers, check the quality of their work and help them diagnose and solve problems.
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
- Evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical machines, equipment, and software.
- Provide technical support to customers.
- Design, develop, and test all aspects of medical/surgical components, equipment, and instruments.
- Demonstrate and explain the correct operation of equipment to medical personnel.
- Keep up-to-date service histories on all biomedical machines and equipment
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science/Engineering or in related subjects.
- Minimum of five (5) years of working experience in similar or relevant roles
- Must have commercial awareness
- Must have an appreciable interest in the integration of technology and medicine
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
