Tullow Oil is a well-established, recognised independent oil and gas company focused on Africa and South America. The Group has interests in over 70 exploration and production licences across 15 countries.
Tullow Oil is looking to appoint a Technical Safety Engineer on a permanent basis. The role will be based in Accra, Ghana. We are looking for an individual who will provide Technical Safety support on all Jubilee brownfield modifications.
You will also promote and educate on technical safety practices across the Tullow Jubilee assets. You will have experience of working and communicating with corporate departments, vendors and third-party bodies on safety integrity issues.

Skills
- Previous experience in the oil and gas industry with experience in the practice of Technical Risk and Safety Management.
- Process Safety Management.
- Risk assessment and Cost Benefit Analysis.
- Consequence modelling using software such as Aloha, Cirus, & Phast.
- Bowtie model development.
- Hazards and Effects management leading to the demonstration of ALARP.
- Manage vendors/ consultant specializing in risk management activities and process safety management.
- Review of vendor’s documents, drawings, datasheets, specifications, and calculations.
- Hazards and Effects management leading to the demonstration of ALARP.
- Knowledge of EHS management systems and application of EHS working practices to a high standard.
- Experience of working in compliance with Offshore Safety Case regime, including detailed knowledge of safety cases development/management, SECEs and performance standards.
- Knowledge of cumulative risk models as applied to offshore facilities.
- Detailed knowledge of Energy Institute PSM Framework (or similar) and associated IOGP/API Asset Integrity/Process Safety guidance.
