The successful candidate shall support in the running of accounting, Taxation and financial activities of the organisation. He/ she shall also report on costs, productivity, margins and company expenditures. The role reports to the Financial Controller
Job Description
- Working with the procurement department to keep track of port charges with special focus on tax elements
- Lead in the preparation of withholding tax taxes and ensure timely review with superior.
- A full responsibility in the preparation of the monthly VAT tax returns and working with reports to ensure filing is done within timeline.
- Manage and maintain the company’s tax database.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, laws and acts by researching and being fully abreast with changes and current happenings within the industry.
- Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish tax burden.
- Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes.

- Prepare accurate quarterly and annual tax reports.
- Support Finance Leaders in strategic analysis and assist with strategic planning especially tax
- Double-check the entries made by all accounting staff and ensure the accuracy of the General Ledger and the generation of timely trial balance
- Support in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management account and ensure the timely submission finance leaders.
- Lead in the organization of all financial information and liaise with both internal and External Auditors in completing Audit
- Coordinate all statutory and compliance audit
- Keep track of all cost elements and ensure periodic entries are made in the ERP System for review and approval by superior.
- Review the fixed asset register, prepare journal and post into the ERP system for Financial Controller approval.
- Other duties as may be required
Required Skills or Experience
- A minimum of a 1st degree in finance, accounting economics or any related areas with over 6 years industry related working experience
- Chartered Accountant (either ICA-Ghana, ACCA etc) is a plus.

- Commercial and business awareness;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills;
- An analytical approach to work;
- High numeracy and sound technical skills;
