Project Overview and Role:
Palladium International, LLC is seeking a QI Technical Lead for a potential upcoming Health Systems Strengthening project in Ghana. The QI Technical Lead must have in depth technical expertise, experience, professional reputation, interpersonal skills, and professional relationships that demonstrate her or his ability to be a thought leader in their field. This is a full-time position based in Accra, Ghana.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of the overall Quality Improvement (QI) and Quality Assurance (QA) strategies and approaches for the project.
- Build strong and effective working relationships with Government of Ghana, civil society, and other development partners working in QI and WA, health systems strengthening, and related sectors by convening relevant stakeholders at various forums, conferences, and working groups.
- Support capacity development at the national units and sub-national teams to design and integrate QI and QA activities in their objectives and programs to improve healthcare outcomes and service delivery.
- Provide technical guidance to the national units and sub-national teams to develop quality improvement aims, indicators, dashboards, and regular data review processes for key national programs and priorities.
- Work with national and sub-national units to develop learning systems, including opportunities for peer learning between sub-national units and facilities and build capacity to implement the learning systems.
- Provides technical support to the Ghana Health System and other relevant agencies in designing/strengthening and implementing QA systems, including for accreditation and certification.
- Write and submit bi-weekly and quarterly reports, and after-action review reports at all requested times to enable further improvement and planning.
- In collaboration with the knowledge management staff, document best practices in form of case studies, success stories, abstracts, video clips in addition to the routine monthly updates, quarterly and annual reports.
- In collaboration with the M&E team ensure that data collected is accurate and valid and captures process and outcome indicators.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in leading QA and QI interventions in the context of health systems strengthening initiatives. Demonstrable experience in supporting QI interventions at all levels of the health system (facility, sub-national, and national).
- Experience with management and/or implementation of accreditation and certification programs preferred.
- Technical expertise in QI and QA program design, including development of aims, indicators, data systems, capacity building strategies, and management and leadership approaches.
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web-based research)
- Ability to multi-task and keep track of concurrent activities and deadlines.
- Fluency in English required
- Strong written and oral communication skills for high-level policy audiences
- Must be willing to live and travel within Ghana.
