Job Description: Responsibilities & Requirements
The incumbent serves as the administrative assistant to the Regional Marketing Officer for West and Central Africa Regional Business Development Office. The incumbent performs various administrative duties and helps oversee routine office operations central to the Regional Director’s responsibilities. The incumbent serves as a part of the procurement team and helps manage fiscal data control, with combined duties for the office. Responsibilities include budgetary management assistance of marketing operations across West and Central Africa in twenty-two across the region.
This is a non-supervisory position, which is supervised by the Regional Marketing Officer/Director (RMO)for the US Agency for Global Media/Voice of America.

EXPERIENCE:
2 years experience as administrative assistant, financial clerk or secretary position is required.

JOB KNOWLEDGE:
General knowledge of business administration is required.
Education Requirements:
Two-years’ Post-Secondary education in Management Studies, Finance, Business Administration or Accounting is required.
Evaluations:
Post may choose to add the phrase “This may be tested” after a language, skill, and/or ability. Review the VA template for specific information.
LANGUAGE: Good working knowledge in English is required. (English language proficiency will be tested).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Skill in the use of modern office equipment such as computer, copier, scanner etc., typing skills. Incumbent should demonstrate a strong and competent working knowledge of Microsoft Word programs, Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Customer relationship management database software (CRM) is required. Ability to prepare written analysis and statistical reports, to work precisely with information. Ability to work and carry out projects independently.

Benefits and Other Info
Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in Accra, Ghana may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
