The purpose of the Assistant Audit Officer at Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) is to check and verify recording of transactions in the prime books of entry, ledgers and memorandum register. To pre-audit bills and vouchers to ensure accuracy and proper authorization of transaction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Check transactions recorded in the books of accounts generally in accordance with audit programme.
- Verify assets, inventories of stores and cash.
- Inspect purchased items before processing bills for payment.
- Pre-auditing of bills and vouchers for payment/
- Assist in conducting routine audits
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

- Ability to promote the value of internal audit among key employees within COCOBOD
- Keeping abreast with regulatory changes and industry standards
- Knowledge in auditing, internal auditing standards, fraud awareness, professional ethical standards
Skills
- Excellent communication skills: both written and oral
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Research and teamwork skills
Qualification
- HND/ Diploma in Accounting / Commerce
- Knowledge in the relevant computer applications
