Senior Nursing Officer (SRN)

Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurately record and report any and all complaints and incidents in tine with healthcare policy;
- Monitor patient progress and update to Physician on regular basis.
- Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management;
- Contribute to the identification of training needs relevant to the clinical area:
- Participate in performance evaluation/reviews, with your line manager, identifying areas for improvement and appropriate plensimeasures to achieve them;
- Operate medical instruments and equipment effectively to ensure patient safety:
- Engage in iesearch activities related to nursing and attend educational seminars and workshops for professional development, and
- Contribute to the improvement initiatives.

Qualification and Experience
- Education, Degree in Nursing from a recognised and accredited institution,
- Expenence Minimum of two (2) years post qualification experience, Lieensure Must hold a current practising licence from the Nurses and Midwifery Council, and
- Excellent interpersonal skills with patients.
Staff Nurse (SRN)
The successful candidate will provide assistance for the Nursing Officer in the day-to-day running of the clinic. The staff nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care to the highest professional and ethical standards within the model of nursing care practised in the University Clinic..
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare patients for OPD consultation and admission by doing the follow;ng:
- Checking and recording vital signs;
- Orientation and education of patients;
- Plan and undertake health promotion programmes;
- Counselling and administration of medications to patients, according to the prescription instructions;
- Provide First Aid and first line emergency treatment in the absence of the medical officer and inform him of the condition;
- Carry out clinical procedures such as wound dressing, IM injection and injury treatment;
- Prepare monthly clinic reports for Resident Medical Officer's review;
- Ensure standard Clinic infection control procedures; and
- Medically escort critically ill patients to referral hospitals.

Qualification and Experience
- Qualified State Registered Nurse/Diploma in Nursing;
- A minimum of 2 years nursing practice.
- In good standing with the Ghana Nurses and Midwives Council:
- Good knowledge of health data management;
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Good communication and strong interpersonal/presentation skills: and
- Ability to work extra hours and respond to tight deadlines.
Enrolled Nurse
The Enrolled nurse will work to provide a safe environment for patient care. He/she will assist in patient care and other related duties as directed by the nurse in charge. Heishe is expected to maintain the standards of practice as per the Clinic guidelines; ensure effective communication and work closely with other staff to ensure delivery of holistic care to the patient.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, administering rnonitonng vital signs;
- Prepare patients for, and assist with, examinations and treatments,
- Reporting incidents/accidents/complaints to the nurse in charge. Be familiar with the inventory processes on the unit and check equipment as assigned
- Participate in the ward rounds,
- Act in a supportive role to the Senior Staff nurse in charge and to accept appropriate delegated responsibilities;
- Wear appropriate & accepted uniform as per the Clinic's nurses uniform policy
- Any other duties that may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Health Services.
