The Trust Hospital Company Ltd is seeking experienced, dynamic and results-oriented staff to fill the following vacancy:
GENERAL SURGEON
Key Responsibilities
- Attends to all general surgical cases that come to the hospital, including emergency cases and referrals
- Ensures the highest clinical standards are met in the provision of surgical care
- Performs Outpatient clinics and Ward rounds
- Performs Endoscopy (Upper GI, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy)
- Ensures regular clinical audits are done to improve quality of care
- Facilitates development and updates of clinical protocols and guidelines for the effective management of surgical patients
- Contributes to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Provides clinical leadership in the surgical unit
- Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time

Qualification and Experience
The suitable candidate must possess the following:
- A medical degree (MBCB, MBBS, MD)
- A valid certification with the Medical & Dental Council (MDC)
- Postgraduate Fellowship in General Surgery (GCPS, WACS or any other institution recognised by the MDC)
- Must possess practical work experience not less than three (3) years post fellowship
- Work experience in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy is highly essential
- Work experience in Laparoscopic Surgery is an added advantage
- Critical, analytic and attention to detail is a requirement for this role
