GRADE: ASSISTANT OFFICER
OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
- To contributing in the implementation of marketing communication strategies and campaigns
- To ensure that the marketing efforts of the organisation add the highest value to its business and the sector
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the organisation's objectives to support marketing efforts through strategies that have the potential to expand the film market for the industry
- Plan and overseeing new marketing initiatives and campaigns for the organisation

- Cultivates and maintains contacts in various media outlets to influence positively, public perceptions about the organisation
- Analyses market trends to assist with the organisation's content development for public relations strategies
- Assists in designing and promoting the organisation's brand identity
- Contribute to the company website and helps maintain it
- Participate in market research projects to measure the success of a marketing campaign
- Monitor print and electronic media daily to ensure that all relevant issues are brought to the attention of Operations
- Plan and manage media events to increase awareness, gain publicity and maintain public interest in the Authority's operation
- Contribute in the implementation of marketing strategies
- Support the marketing manager in overseeing the depaitment's operations
- Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness
- Plan advertising and pmeiotional campaigns ku products ot services on a variety of media (social, pint etc )
- Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the organisation's presence
- See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics
- Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution
- Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of First Degree in Marketing or related discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent professional qualification
- Must have completed National Service
- In addition musthave skills in:
- Proposal Drafting
- Negotiations
- Event Management
- Branding
- Information Technology

SKILLS-MIX AND COMPETENCIES
- Very good knowledge of marketing principles, processes and practices
- Very good oral and written communication, presentation, consultation and relationship building skill
- Sound grasps of marketing management principle
- Proven experience as marketing officer or similar role
- Good understanding of market research techniques, statistical and data analysis methods
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and marketing software (e.g. CRM)
- Thorough understanding of social media and web analytics
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creativity and commercial awareness
- A team player with a customer-oriented approach
