Co-operative Financial Institution invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaian professionals to fill the following position as Accounts Officer
REPORTING LINE: Asst. Manager, Accts & Admin.
JOB PURPOSE:
- Provide quality Accounting services for the satisfaction of members.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and ethical standards.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Passing of cheques entries into the system on daily basis before lodgments at the bank and reversal of returned (DUD) Cheques
- To monitor all cheque lodgments from the outstation and update the system on a daily basis

- Cash reconciliation daily from field collections for both the Head Office and Outstations
- Retirement of petty cash
- Passing of entries in respect of approved loan applications and withdrawals
- Preparation of payment vouchers
- Assisting the Loan and Supervisory committees in their weekly and monthly meetings
- Filing of all payment, withdrawals and loan vouchers daily
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the General Manager/Assistant General Manager from time to time
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cash and Bank reconciliation
- Receipt of Daily Returns from the Relationship Officers
- Banking Duties
- Others
- Must be assertive, good team player, effective communication skills, self-motivated achiever
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum qualification of Accounting Degree, Level 1 of ACCA, ICA, CIMA, HND in Accounting and related
- At least three (3) years of working experience in a related field, plus added competencies.
