The Governing Council of the Ghana Baptist University College invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of President, which will become vacant from July 31, 2021

The Ghana Baptist University College was established by Ghana Baptist Convention in March 2007. as part of its social responsibility and interest in holistic community development The University is committed to building the human resource Capital of Ghana and other countries through wholistic education for national development. The vision of the university is to become a centre of excellence in creative and innovative teaching. learning and research. professional competence. and godly ethics in academic disciplines The mission of the university is to educate, develop, train, mentor men and women to impact society through integration of academic learning and Christian

The President is the Academic and Administrative Head of the university and accountable to the Governing Council. The President is responsible. under the Governing Council and in accordance with the statutes of the university, for organising and conducting the academic, financial and administrative business of the university The President is responsible for the promotion of a world-class, high quality university education and the provision of the necessary academic and administrative leadership The President is also the chief disciplinary officer of the university and has authority over all employees of the university college and the student body.
The Person
- Must be a Professor of high repute
- Must be of stature and integrity with exemplary leadership, excellent interpersonal and communication skits with the energy and capacity for mobilising the needed resources for the achievement of the university's mission and vision.
Applicants must also show evidence of the following qualities.
- Demonstrate capacity to manage a university;
- Ability to foster and promote good internal and external relations of the university;
- Ability to project effectively the image of the university internally and externally;
- Proven capacity to provide strong, visionary leadership and innovation;
- Must be an internationally acclaimed academic and a distinguished scholar;
- Must have a proven capacity to motivate, manage and direct faculty and staff;
- Must exhibit a high sense of industry, leadership .,:;alit &z and orgar;sational
- Must be transparent, firm and above reproach;
- Proven ability to manage crisis situations;
- Must be a visionary, business oriented and be able to establish rapport between industry and the university for common purpose

Terms of Appointment
These will be determined by the Governing Council consistent with the statutes of the university college.
The President shall hold office for an initial term of four (4) years. The appointment may be renewed upon application for a period determined by the Governing Council.
