JOB TITLE : HEAD, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
GRADE: PRINCIPAL OFFICER
IMMEDIATE SUPERIOR: DEPUTY EXECUTIVE SECRETARY (TECHNICAL & OPERATIONS)
FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: SENIOR MANAGEMENT
OBJECTIVES OF POSITION
- To develop ideas, initiatives and marketing communication activities aimed towards enhancing the business profile of the organisation and the film sector.
- To build strategic partnerships and make strategic business decisions that create opportunities and impacts the growth and increase the value of the film industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build solid relationships with key stakeholders both locally and internationally to help identify opportunities
- Develop in-depth knowledge of the organisation's objectives to direct efforts through strategies that have the potential to expand the film market for the industry
- Establish potential business leads to help create opportunities for the industry
- Managing various funds for the support of the film industry in Ghana
- Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives and campaigns for the organisation
- Engage industry players to help them create quality products to meet quality standards and increase content value.
- Research the film industry to identify new opportunities
- Engage distribution channels to identify and develop new markets for the industry
- Develop winning business proposals and close deals that help to create an enabling environment for industry players
- Develop goals for Industry business growth
- Research emerging trends and recommend new offerings to enhance the industry
- Provides guidelines to coordinate the organisation's strategic and annual business plans and budgets.
- Cultivates and maintains contacts in various media outlets to influence positively, public perceptions about the organisation Supervises the work and activities of the media relations staff Analyses market trends to assist with the organisation's project development and strategies
- Assists in designing and promoting the organisation's brand identity
- Contribute to the company website and helps maintain it Participate in market research projects to measure the success of a marketing campaign
- Monitor print and electronic media daily to ensure that all relevant issues are brought to the attention of Operations
- Plan and manage media events to increase awareness, gain publicity and maintain public interest in the organisation's operation
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of Masters Degree in Marketing or related discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent professional
- 6 years of work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the senior management level.
- In addition must-have skills in:
- General Management
- Management Information Systems
- Project Management
- Change Management
- Organisational Development and team building
