Golden Star (Wassa) Limited is seeking to recruit General Mine Supervisor.
Job Purpose
To supervise the overall day-to-day performance, co-ordination, management and maintenance of the mining shift, regarding all surface activities
Main Duties
- Manage and coordinate pit de-watering works
- Ensure regular dust suppresion within all operational and surrounding communities to meet statutory requirements
- Maintain good pit access ramps for smooth haulage
- Ensure that all excavation works are safely completed at the portals, rompad and other relevant areas
- Monitor and control dumping at the waste dump rompad and aggregate crusher to avoid brach of safety standards
- Ensure safe haulage throughout the shifts to avoid fall-offs
- Ensure all access roads are well maintained by regular grading and gravelling with the focus on sustaining downstream benefits to the mine.

Qualification Required & Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years experience in the mining industry
- Minimum of captain statutory certification
- Good computer skills and working knowledge in Power Point, Word, Excel, etc
- Must be holder of a valid Ghanaian Driver’s license Class B or better
Skills and Abilities
- Good organisation skills
- Attention to details
- Good interpersonal skills with high degree of the teamwork
- Good communication (oral & written) skills
- Proven commitment and integrity in the discharge of duties
- Good report writing and analytical skills
