A reputable Health Insurance Company is seeking a qualified, experienced, competent, hardworking, dedicated individual for immediate employment as a PHARMACY TECHNOLOGIST (Technician)
- Make entries of claims Data and ensure that they are inputted correctly.
- Assist in the pharmacological vetting of medical claims.
- Ensure adjustments to claims are rightly adjusted.
- Assist in stocking the pharmacies.
- Conduct pharmaceutical auditing of the health service providers.
- Research, analyse and resolve prior authorization processing issues by verifying from clients, pharmacies; obtaining input from supervisor or clinical pharmacists; and referring unique requests to supervisor
- Conversant with the preparation of claims for onward submission to NHIS.
- Support all Compliance Program activities
- Utilize drug references and verify the drug being requested is indicated and approved for the condition.
- Advising clients about entitlements and benefits

- Be willing to support after hours (on call) needs to meet client’s requirements
- Maintain professional integrity and due care
- Advising on new trends in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Investigating and monitoring claim trends to eliminate or minimize fraud
- Dealing with fraud and abuse
Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum academic qualification of HND in Pharmacy
- Minimum of 1 year work experience in pharmacy practice.
- Good working knowledge of current medicine prices (generic and trademark)
- Good working knowledge of prescription drug terminology
- Good computer literacy and high competency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Good working knowledge of basic anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
- Fair working knowledge of medical insurance terminology and processes.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-functioning environment and meet deadlines while managing multiple high priorities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good skill organizational skills with attention to details.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good customer service skills.
