As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will:
- Introduce new equipment/products to existing clients, and the range of products we deal in to prospective clients in the mining industry from a technical perspective.
- Hunt for new clients who might benefit from the company’s products or services.
- Develop long-term relationships with clients, through interpreting and managing their requirements.
- Persuade existing and prospective clients that a product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price, and delivery.
- Provide technical inputs to management during the negotiation of tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
- Collaborate with the Technical Services Engineer to work on after-sales support services and provide technical back-up as required.
- Team up with the Technical Services Engineer to arrange and carry out product training.
- Meet regular sales targets and coordinate sales projects.
- Support marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
- Make technical presentations and demonstrate how a product meets client needs.
