DHL Global Forwarding, Freight (DGFF) is the Group's air, ocean and road freight specialist.

We offer standardized transport as well as highly specialized end-to-end solutions to customers in a wide range of industries globally.

Currently we are looking for Development Team Leader for IP West Africa (Excluding Nigeria) who will be a direct link between DPDHL and our customers.

Your task will be:

  • Coordinate business development strategy and plans to achieve market and customer growth and retention rate
  • Draft business development plans and budgets including account management approach and account plans for assigned geographic region
  • Track revenue generation, profit/ expense objectives and coordinate for assigned geographic region
  • Deliver new business development initiatives/ operations

  • Work with Countries sales team to initiate and establish relationships
  • Deliver market studies and feasibility studies to assess market potential
  • Prospect new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, etc.
  • Explore Industrial Projects Business Development opportunities with government authorities and relevant parties
  • Identify, pursue and acquire profitable Industrial Projects business relationships with key customers
  • Negotiate to obtain new customers and support Countries Sales team in difficult negotiations to secure critical sales
  • Improved customer interactions and their overall development
  • Understand customer and key stakeholders interests and concerns and advise direct reports, customers and key stakeholders
  • Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results

Your profile should look like:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience in Oil & Gas and/or Mining Sector
  • Experience in Sale Department in West African market
  • Knowledge and experience in Logistic and Transportation area in West African market
  • Knowledge and experience of managing multiple/varied costumers
  • Good communication and presentation skills, ideally selling experience in competitive markets
  • Fully computer literate, with a solid knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Enjoy communication and interaction with people
  • Result orientated
