Asutifi Rural Bank, a leading Community Bank operating in the Ahafo Region and implementing group-based Credit and Savings programme announces vacancy positron for the position of Deputy Microfinance Manager

Job Role:

The job holder will assist the Microfinance Manager to lead plan implement, monitor and manage the Microfinance Department of the bank In addition he/she will also be assisting the Microfinance Manager in designing and conducting appropriate training for the SCAs as well as the Credit Officers under him/her and overall provide technical backing and support to the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will assist and support the Microfinance Manager to

  • lead in the development of strategic marketing of the microfinance program
  • effect the implementation of the microfinance programme and assess the performance of the MF credit officers
  • prepare relevant reports to stakeholders and match it with the annual set targets of the bank

  • work closely with other management team to plan, implement, train, and ensure regular onsite and off-site monitoring to identify capacity-building needs
  • provide technical arid managerial support to management in area of risk and internal controls
  • prepare the quarterly disbursement projections of loan requirement for clients in the microfinance department
  • Design delinquency management practices and procedures.
  • design an appropnate and effective credit group appraisal, monitonng and recovery strategies to ensure excellent loan recovenes
  • mentor and coach microfinance credit officers on compliance, processes and procedures to ensure adherence with the programme best practices
  • organise training of trainers sessions for credit officers
  • build, develop and [plain a motivated high performing team of programme officers committed to achieving success through team work. and to enhance the capabilities of the team in the areas of efficiency and effectiveness.
  • network with leaders and players in the MF industry in order la provide up-to-date market intelligence and continually assess the banks market position.

 

Qualification, Knowledge, Experience and Skills

At least a good First University Degree in Social Work, Business Administration, Economics. Integrated Development Studies or any other relevant discipline from a recognised university.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in financial management of Credit with Education or in similar position
  • An experience in adult education and working with rural communities on credit programmes particularly rural credit groups is an added advantage.
  • Candidates will be expected to pass a written examination and an oral interview as part of the assessment process of candidates
  • Ability and willingness to support field programme using motorcycle
  • Good team player with excellent interpersonal relationships
  • Proficiency in computer skills and fluency in the local language of the programme area.
