Partners in Food Solutions identifies and selects food processing companies (‘clients’) that receive technical and business assistance from PFS volunteers, which are employees of our corporate partners who provide their expertise remotely via phone and email. The Field Program Associate (“Program Associate”) provides general coordination and support for the technical and business-related projects with our clients alongside PFS field staff based in sub-Saharan Africa and our corporate volunteers.
All tasks and projects require the exercise of independent judgment, a keen sense of responsibility, strong communication skills, and commitment to the success of the organization in completingprojects with a positive and cooperative attitude. Program Associates help identify, describe, support and document assistance projects for African food processors via direct contact with front- line PFS African field staff and the corporate experts working with them. They play a
critical project management role, connecting team members to help keep projects on track through regular collection and analysis of PFS data and participation
in virtual meetings with stakeholders from multiple international locations and organizations. In addition to project support activities, a portion of the role is assisting on special projects for the PFS staff team – both internal and in the field - including but not limited to marketing and communications, and administrative requests on behalf of the field staff.
