PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE
The Project Coordinator (Clinical) will work under the supervision of the Program Manager to support start-up, implementation, and close out of the IMPAACT4TB health project at project sites in specific regions of Ghana. S/He will also support the Company to deliver other donor funded country programs where necessary from and in the regions.

KEY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Work Responsibilities
The incumbent will be assigned all or part of the following responsibilities which are performed according to the needs and agenda:
- The Project Coordinator will be the project lead at site level of implementation of the IMPAACT4TB project in Ghana with support from the Program Manager. S/He must have in-depth understanding of clinical management of Tuberculosis (TB) and HIV as well as experience in health care systems in resource limited settings for public health delivery especially Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS programs in Ghana
- S/He will proactively support all capacity building activities/workshops for IMPACCT4TB implementing sites to enhance the effective implementation of planned activities needed to generate data for reporting
- Guide the distribution of 3HP, patient enrolment and provide technical advice on Tuberculosis preventive therapy, its administration, drug-drug interactions, contraindications as well as adverse drug events
- Work closely with and supervise facility health staff at implementation sites
- Conduct supportive supervision visits to sites for on-site coaching of health staff and to solve emerging challenges with implementation
- Ensure timely and quality completion of all project technical deliverables at sites and report in accordance with project guidelines
- Support the M&E Manager in monitoring and evaluation and provision of technical assistance to implementing sites
Program Start Up
- Support the start-up and close out of 3HP patient enrolment in project sites under IMPAACT4TB project
- Develop plan of work (POW) and workflows specific to each site for the project lifetime
- Support project team to develop project management plan for IMPAACT4TB at start-up
Program Implementation
- Supervise project implementation with support of health staff showcasing innovative strategies within implementation
- Support multiple work teams to deliver high quality outputs
- Monitor project work flow implementation to deliver on project targets
- Undertake supervisory visits to project implementation sites to review project implementation and provide technical support for implementation
- Continuously scope out and identify areas of weakness in patient enrolment and utilization of 3HP regimen within implementation facilities and to design mitigations for these
- Ensure adequate documentation of project generated data in all sites and levels
- Submit technical reports on project implementation to project team to enable compilation of donor and stakeholder reports
- Attend meetings of health systems to provide technical assistance and support to country public health delivery

Requirements
YOU MUST HAVE
Qualification/Professional Membership
- Bachelor's degree from college or university in Public Health, Social Science, Nursing, OR Diploma in Disease Control
- Certificate in Management is advantageous
Work Proven Experience
- 3 years' experience in clinical management of TB and HIV/AIDS clients is mandatory
- At least 2 years' experience in program management
- Experience in analysing data and summarising vast amounts of data into graphs
- At least 5 years' experience in coordination of program activities of which 3 years is in front line TB and HIV/AIDS program implementation role in national, regional or district level
- Experience in directly managing DOT and ART teams representing a range of technical expertise in health facilities
- Experience in counselling of Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS patients and their relatives
- Experience developing and implementing health care quality improvement systems based on standard operating procedures
Other requirements
- Engaged in implementing Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support program including management of medicines
- Progressive leadership positions managing Tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS programs involving integrated health service delivery, human resource capacity development, health education and in-service training
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of Ghana Health Service logistics management and information system (LMIS)
- Experience with multiple types of patient level data capture (eTracker) and reporting systems (DHIMS-2)
- Ability to network effectively at all levels and influence without direct management oversight
- Demonstrate strength in problem solving and analytics and capable of driving insight to action
- Ability to travel within the country and region for work and/or meetings as requested
- Advanced MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint skills
