AngloGold Ashanti Health Foundation (AGAHF), located in Obuasi, is a wholly owned subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti Ghana. The vision of AGAHF is to create a model hospital that provides quality healthcare to all corporate clients and the Obuasi community at large at a reasonable cost, whilst striving to be among the leading referral centres in the country.
We are seeking to engage an experienced and self-motivated person to join the team as: Executive Director
Role Purpose
- Demonstrate safety leadership and improve the culture across the AGAHF systems section regarding safety, health, and sustainable development
- Provide technical support with regard to the existing safety systems at the Hospital that governs work practices and risk control processes
- Establish implement an effective monitoring and supervision system for the facility
- Ensure effective delivery of medical services to support the AGAG, Obuasi mine
- Ensure implementation of recommendations from internal and external audits
- Develop and submit the annual cost centre budget to achieve the required targets for approved programmes
- Ensure effective environmental management that is integrated into team’s work plan and implementation
- Develop the AGAHF system’s team to capacity and consistently deliver the annual and quarterly plan according to their role and level of authority
- Rigorously drive implementation of projects and strategies and nurture and sustain a culture of Accountability and continuous improvement within the AGAHF systems

Qualification Required & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in the Medical discipline with a preferable Post graduate training in public health
- Additional qualification in health service management of MBA with emphasis on health service management.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience working in the Medical Discipline
- Previous 5 years experience in managing a hospital or a medical institution
Other competencies
Health Management systems
- Can develop processes and procedures that integrate behavioral aspects into a system.
- Able to integrate across departments
Quality Assurance
- Have knowledge of quality assurance issues
- A broad understanding of healthcare, involvement in acute care and managing the complex issues in the continuum of care essential
- Adherence to the highest ethical standards, demonstrating accountability, integrity and transparency in actions at all times
- Ability to keep information confidential
- Ability to manage conflict and promote consensus building
